Below you can see our job descriptions, requirements, duties, and pay scale with each position.

• DUTIES Must be able to install interior door units  -  Install one and two piece base moulds  -  Install one to five piece crown mouldings  -  Install chairail  -  Install wainscot  -  Install arched window casing  -  Install prefab staircase railing and stick built staircases  -  Build stick built cabinets  -  Perform minor framing  -  Build and install cased openings.  Basically, if it is high end interior trim YOU can do it.
• RESPONSIBILITIES Must be able to run a crew of men.  Be knowledgeable as to what material needs to be on the job to perform the work.  Must be able to problem solve and have good communication abilities.
• REQUIREMENTS Has reliable transportation to and from work, and has a drivers license.  Has all of the needed hand tools,  (tape  -  nail apron  -  hammer  -  nail set  -  pliers for cutting and pulling air nails  -  chalk box  -  flat bar  -  tri square).
• PROBATION All new employees are on a 90 day probationary period.  Any unexcused days from work, coming to work late, standing around talking during working hours about non-work related issues, are subject to termination.

Master Lead Man
$18.00 hr.
Perform all of the above listed duties and responsibilities, plus build stick built winder staircases with no supervision

Senior Lead Man
$13.00 hr.
Perform all of the listed duties and responsibilities under the Lead Man job description.

Lead Man
$12.00 hr.
Perform all of the listed duties and responsibilities under the Lead Man job description.  With minim supervision.

Junior Lead Man
$10.00 hr
Must be able to install interior door units - Install one and two piece base molds - Install three piece crown mouldings - Install chairail - Install wainscot, shadow boxing - Build and install cased openings - Install backband - Trim arched windows.  With minim supervision.

Apprentice Lead Man
$9.00 hr
Must be able to set doors - Run base - Trim windows - Install chairail - Install one piece crown moulding -Install wainscot, shadow boxing - Build and install cased openings.  With minim supervision.

Master Helper
$ 8.00 hr
Must be able to anticipate the needed equipment to be set up to perform the job. Be knowledgeable of the operation and maintenance of the equipment. Must be able to run base moulds - Window moulds - Wainscot, shadow boxing - Chairail.  With minim supervision.

Apprentice Helper
$ 6.50 hr
Must be able to read a tape and lift 150 pounds, (one side of the big table saw).  Be energetic and eager to learn.

ALL JOB TITLES ARE SUBJECT TO THE REQUIREMENTS AND PROBATION LISTED UNDER THE LEAD MAN JOB DESCRIPTION.

Employee is to miss no time from the job they are working on to qualify for a job bonus.  Exceptions are for a medical emergency, (Doctors note required) or a death in the family.  Employee must make no costly mistakes on the job.   Employee must be enthusiastic about his job responsibilities.  No standing around talking about none job related issues.  But the most important thing is you must make me money.  I will never have a problem in paying a person a bonus for doing an exceptional job, if you are making me money.  Gaps in casings or any other moldings that you cut will not be tolerated, meaning NO BONUS.  I pay you for high quality work, that is what all of my customers expect from me and my company.  That is what I expect of you.

Average is one to three jobs a week.

Artisan Specialties celebrates Christ’s birthday and will give all of their employee’s Christmas off with pay.  We are sorry but the only other day off with pay is the employee’s birthday.   If the employee’s birthday falls on a working day, the employee has the option of taking the day off with pay or working at time and a half plus their 8 hours of regular time.

I expect you to come to work sober and dressed like a trades man.  Not in pants that have holes in them.  My company does allot of work in homes where people are still living.  There shall be no profanity in such areas.  All employees are to have the needed tools under REQUIREMENTS for a Lead Man.  You can never expect to learn if you do not have the hand tools to learn with.
