The best thing about having Artisan Specialties build you custom closet shelves if the fact we custom build cabinets too! Imagine telling someone you need a 16 inch deep shelf, no less that 20 inches apart to store your sweaters in. That folks are custom built closet shelving. No, you can’t go to a mass lumberyard and ask them for that. They just don’t have it. You can buy 80 to $100,000.00 worth of cabinets and have them look good. Or you can have us custom build those to your specifications for much less!! All shelves over the open rod areas are removable so when it does come to the point of repainting it will be easy. As you can see form the zoom in close up pictures of our custom closets, all edges are routed so there are no sharp corners. Even the cleats that hold the rods for your cloths! Doing this prevents the kids from chipping those sharp edges and making a place where your cloths will get snagged on a splinter. Who hasn’t had a young child who didn’t want to climb and hide when playing hide and seek?
Here you can see Tim Lee, a very fine trim carpenter proud of the craftsmanship he invested with helping build this custom closet. Above Mr. Lee’s head you can see how beautiful the three piece crown looks in the wonderful custom Master closet! The crown consisted of 2- 7 ¼ inch speed base with 4 ¾ crown. If you zoom in you can see how you need to offset the cloths rods when doing a corner. One needs to be lower than the other so it will not interfere with the rods. Unless instructed otherwise in the Owner’s specifications, our custom cloths closets stay off the floor so you don’t have to bend down to put anything in as far, and keep the dirt from the floor from getting into the cloths cabinet. Some people like to paint the shoe moulding next to the baseboards, but I personally like to see a light stained floor with stained shoe moulding against the baseboards. What do you think? The ceiling in this custom built home was 10 feet high. So remember that when you are thinking about what you may want in your next dream closet
This magnificent custom designed Master closet has two windows allowing plenty of natural light into the closet to brighten it up. Pictured here are the double sweater boxes and double cloths rods between the windows. The large RB3 window casing was used to give a more pronounced profile on the outside of the casing. When designing what I would call a custom or “dream home” think about what you have always wanted… enough room to hang all your cloths, and enough shelving and closet cabinets to lay your sweaters, shoes, hats and all of the other stuff you have collected over the last ten years that you have had no place to put. Being creative in one thing we are good at! Tell me your desires and I will show you all kinds of options! The only thing that will hold you back is your imagination, and of course how much you can invest in your custom dreams, “wink”.
Here you see pictured side by side double cloths rods and shelves. The center divider goes all the way to the floor for additional structural support. If you look close you can see how all of the four shelves on these two double cloths rods can be removed for longer gowns or coats. Or keep it as is for the short stuff, your choice. Pricing for shoe boxes and sweater boxes is located on this website if your interested. All of the trim and cabinet prices are for new construction only. If you are doing an addition that is new construction. If you are having them installed in your existing home that is not, and other prices may be added for a smaller job, reworking any existing baseboards or anything else not covered. All I can tell you is that prices are FREE and to give me a call for a quote today. If you have a large project that will require multiple trades there may be charges for an estimate, but that can be subtracted from the project if it is awarded to my company.
Pictured here is a custom shoe box to keep all of those shoes off of the floor. Depth is 16 inches and approximately 14 to 16 inches high with all of the dividers. On each side all are double cloths rods with shelves. With all of our cloths rod shelving we install a front stile and rout the edge so no splinters will grab your cloths or anything else you may want to store on top. The front stile serves another purpose too; it helps strengthen the shelf preventing it from sagging when you have weight on top of it. Now if you decide to store your children, husband, or in-laws on your shelf that may void the warrantee! All of our closet shelves and designer closet cabinets are custom made to what you need to hang and store, utilizing all of the space we can so there is no unused area. Just remember when you sit down to design your home to make a real big Master closet so we can make all of your dreams come true! Try to incorporate pocket doors as much as possible. You will loose 9 square feet of floor areas per door if you don’t. Ideas, ideas, which is why you will get us!!
I have a friend who owns A Tast Of The South, a candy and gift shop where he sends out thousands of packages each month. During the holidays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Valentines Day he is extra busy with shipping and hires more employees for the additional orders that come in. One of the many problems with packaging custom candies is the many different varieties you the customer have to choose from. Organization is key to running a smooth operation. Here you can see what they used prior to having me come in and design and build a custom storage area using the input of his wife who is a major supporting role in all of his operations. This company creates some of the finest gift assortments you will ever see, having nothing but select chocolates among their selection of goodies to choose from. You will not find the ordinary among their selection either. Need help designing that custom gift basket for your sweetheart or a special occasion? Look no further! Go to A Taste Of The South today to order online or on the phone toll free.
This is an ideal setting to use 4 x 8 sheets of MDF. No humidly and the MDF is smooth and ideal for painting. You can see in a close up picture how I routed the edges of the shelves so there will be no sharp corners and sanded everything with my orbital sander to make double sure. I designed the side and top shelves so that they would hold multiple roles of ribbons. The Owner wife had the idea of using rods to hang the ribbons they use the most between the two eight foot tall cabinets and over the work desk. This makes easy access to pull the ribbons down and into the ribbon making machine you see on the left of the desk, (I always wondered how they did that). This makes the open desk that is pictured in front of my custom cabinet shelving allot less cluttered, freeing up more area to work on and organizing their supplies all at once. So if you have a problem with storage at your job don’t think for one second I would not have a solution to help you to improve your productivity and organize your supplies as well! Every part of this custom cabinet shelving is secured to the metal studs in the wall with self tapping screws to prevent it from pulling away when full of supplies.
You can see from the clutter on their work desk how much in need they were for organization. With the custom cabinet shelving that was built behind the existing work desk along with the additional work area between the large 8 foot tall side cabinets it has given them the additional surface area and organization to be more productive with the holiday season! Do you have an idea how to make your company more productive with special custom cabinet shelving? Don’t put it off any longer. Call today for a FREE quote on your companies needs. With my company, customer satisfaction is the bottom line! All work comes with a written warrantee! Do you need more storage in your existing Master closet? Do you need some organization in your garage for your crafts, tools, or just to get that Christmas tree off the floor after the holiday season? With the options available for custom cabinet shelving you will be happily surprised how you can save money and have what you want to make it both affordable and custom built to your specific needs.
With the smile on this young ladies face you can tell she is happy to finally have the ability to find what she needs in a hurry! Building custom cabinet shelving for the company’s multiple products is another way to keep your employee’s happy and increases your production at the same time. You can see from the uncluttered work table how much room has been gained with just these simple cabinet shelves. When things really start to pick up during the holidays you can have multiple employees, where before you could have only one or two in the same area! Utilizing all of the available area is one thing I do very well. Be it with the custom cabinets I make in the kitchen, entertainment centers, or bathroom cabinets, I try to give access to all of what most people would refer to as dead space. The only time you will have dead space is when you are buying those cheap mass produced cabinets from large building supply centers. And then you will still be paying a nice price for those high end cabinets and not get what you wanted. Custom building is second nature to my company. I have been a custom cabinet builder for just about thirty years now. My employees have the same pride and craftsmanship as I do because I only hire the very best!
With organizing your closet to utilize all of the available area for shelving or storage using sweater cabinets, or shoe cabinets you will gain more time by knowing where your items are located for that last minute notice of, honey let’s go out to eat tonight, or honey I invited my boss over for dinner. It’s up to you if you want the boss over for dinner, but I do not know anyone who would not rather go out to eat than eat at home. No cooking and no pots, pans or dishes to clean afterwards ;-) I can come up with multiple ideas on how to store your items with the space you have now, or enlarge the area by pushing back a wall or two in order to give you that much needed space so you will not feel so closed in with the new closet cabinet shelves. Advice is always FREE, and you would be surprised how much a person can save with the options I can show you.
The Owner wanted something simple, cheap and easy to access all of his products for wrapping gifts. Answer, to make everything out of MDF so I could make all shelves 16 inches deep. Use the scrap 1 x and 2 x 4’s he had lying around. And let him use his on employees to paint and finish the newly built custom cabinet shelving. Finishing cabinets or painting shelves usually requires multiple trips because of curing of the calking, and drying time of the paint that is used. With the Owner having his company undertake this part on the job it saved a considerable amount of money allowing him to apply it in other areas of building maintenance. Just so you know, my company also offers handyman services for your home and office. To see some of what we do just click right HERE.
